"Lagyán mo ng asín ang sopas kasí matabáng" = Put salt in the soup because it's bland.

Verb forms:

Asinán = to put/add salt (infinitive/imperative; object-focused) - inasinán, ináasinán, áasinán

"Tamà ba ang lasa ng sopas sa'yó? Kung matabáng, asinán mo na lang (or "lagyán mo na lang ng asín") = Is the soup's taste just right for you? If it's bland, just add salt to it.

Asnán = to put/rub salt on meat before cooking or for curing or preserving purposes (infinitive/imperative; object-focused) - inásnán (also naásnán), ináasnán, áasnán

"Bago mo ilagáy/itágo/itabí ang isdâ sa freezer, asnán mo muna" = Before you put/keep the fish in the freezer, rub salt onto it first. ("Itago" normally means "to hide something" and "itabí" means "to put aside/to the side", however, they're also at times the terms used when putting ("hiding") things inside a refrigerator or cabinets or other similar containers).

"Inásnán/Naásnán mo na ba itóng manók na ilúlutò ko?" = Have you salted this chicken that I am going to cook?
