Hiii! I’m Eli, I recently started learning Filipino with my boyfriend I love filipino movies and he fell in love with the language so that’s how we ended up learning it lol 😄

Kita kita is really good, as is Metro Manila! A lot of filipino movies are generic romcom stuff though.

You should try the music too. Ben&Ben and IV of Spades have great songs in Tagalog

@Bituingmaykinang I only know one song is called “kahit na anong sabihin ng iba” and I absolutely love it i’ve been trying to find more songs like it but no finds

@aemuhn Most of the movies I’ve seen are on Netflix too hehe I just picked randomly but my favorites are “Bride for rent” “Seven sundays” and “Everything about her” especially Seven sundays a movie with a great message 🙌

@EliYan036 I enjoyed The Girl Allergic to Wi-Fi. Its just taglishy enough that it isn't hard to follow, and it has a silly romcom plot.

@aemuhn Netflix has "Birdshot" and "Goyo: the Boy General." Both are good dramas, and, as a bonus, with "Goyo" you can learn some history.
