how can I learn Tagalog properly but quickly

You have to be patient with yourself...Tagalog is a hard language for English speakers, it's not going to come quickly!Get a good grammar book and work through it, do the TagalogDecks.com 2k flash cards to learn the most common 2,000 Tagalog words (gives you the most bang for you buck), and if you have a little money, schedule 10-20 lessons with an online teacher to help quickly troubleshoot beginner grammar and pronunciation mistakes. Then start reading and watching as much as you can, while keeping a good dictionary (Tagalog.com's dictionary works well). That would be my starter advice...The common wisdom nowadays is that it takes a LOT of immersion in a foreign language to really get good at it (as in, hundreds of hours of immersion).
