@AMBoy Im not a native speaker my native language is English . I was taught ko+ikaw , diksiyonaryo.ph is the most accurate dictionary on the web and is held in high regard by many Filipino grammarians. Many other sources also point to it being ko+ikaw ,(see the dictionary definition I post above). Ko+ka is a common error that some natives believe(not sure why). Another dictionary saying its ko+ikaw. Ko+ka never existed it was always ko+ikaw which changed to kita over time. Some Tagalog dialects still say ko+Ikaw.

@AMBoy It's just instinct for me.. knowing that "mahal ko ikaw" and "mahal kita" mean the exact same thing, I would automatically associate the two as being equivalent.

It seems to me that mo'ko is not really even on the same level as kita because it is simply just a lazy contraction of "mo ako" vs a special pronoun like kita. ?

Seems that my natural instinct of ka being another form of Ikaw was correct. Shortened just seems logical.

The combo personal prounons KITA (me to you) and Mo'Ko (you to me) seem to work universally with psuedo/modal verbs as in Mahal kita Mahal moko And also with many object focus affixes as in bINasa kita bINasa moko

@BoraMac

What exactly are you trying to say anyway?

I read you? You read me?

The focus of binasa is what's being read. Not sure why anyone would say this phrase so I doubt it means what you think it means and most of the results on Google for this is this thread and your other one in HiNative.

@AngTaongsiClyde maybe can shed light.
