Filipino is a dialect of Tagalog. It's the "standard" dialect.

Filipino is Tagalog just as much as Spanish is Castellano

Tagalog: Anong pangalan mo?
Filipino: Anong pangalan mo?
Ilocano: Anya ti nagan mo?
Pangasinense: Ngantoy ngaran mo?

@Bituingmaykinang Oh, okay, thank you. If it's similar enough I can get the backbone down and then tweak it from there. Thanks so much for your help.

When you speak Tagalog, you speak Filipino. When you speak Filipino, you speak Tagalog.

It's like speaking "American", "British" and "Australian".
