Hello! My name is Kawa. I am from New York City. My family is Filipino but struggled to teach me the language so I did not know it growing up.I have been studying Filipino on my own since May, and finally joined a formal class on it recently.I hope to be confident and conversational in Filipino by February. I'll be going back to the Philippines then for the first time since I was young.
