Hi, I'm posting this with permission from the admins. I strive to be active on the Tagalog groups that I am in, so this isn't just a spammy advertisment! My name is Koneho (online handle rather). I live in the Philippines and have an interest in the languages spoken here. Discord is not very user friendly and we are working on getting a guide set up for new users. It is free (as all discord servers are), and it is similar to Slack or the older IRC (Internet Relay Chat).

We're new and growing, but hope to eventually host voice chat events where we can all practice speaking together, rather than chatting and forum posting. If you find discord hard to use or not intuitive, kindly @notify me here on Tagaloglessons.com or find me on discord as the user Koneho#5369

Hello! We are a chill, rapidly growing community for the study of Philippine Languages (and other languages spoken in the Philippines).
Wait lang, languages, you say? You heard it right! The languages of the Philippines are a diverse set of dialects that can often be mutually unintelligible, and we aim to offer resources and lessons in these languages.
Currently, our server offers resources in:
Tagalog, Cebuano, Chavacano, Ilokano, and other languages.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks TLDCAdmin.

We're working on getting a guide set up for first timers. As discord isn't user friendly, especially on mobile. media.discordapp.net /attachments/6064876 56700051471/64737081 3254926346/unkn

We're also working with linking sites into the server so that posts will be seen and responded too, and have a higher visibility level. We have a lot of resources pinned in the stickied messages, and we have a pet project where we translate memes into English.

We're looking for more active voice chat users! If anyone would like to take on a role as a video-chat host and get us practicing speaking, don't hesitate to ask! We have about 163 users, and we get about 1,000 unique messages per day so we're active. One of the problems we're looking to address is the lower level learners are not on equal ground with intermediate learners and natives.

And finally, we also cover languages other than Tagalog! So if you've got a secondary regional language you need to learn; don't hesitate to poke around.

Cebuano and Kapampangan are very active, both with active learners (really studying, not pretending) and natives.
