Kumusta po...my name is Madeline, and I just got back from Thailand where I taught ESL for about a year. Luckily, this experience graced me with beautiful friendships with teachers from the Philippines. My friends shared so much with me-adobo, tambo tambo, yema, Tagalog, Ilocano, Cancanay-the list goes on and on. I always tried to practice Tagalog with them, but I never got further than a few sentences. Now that I’m back home, I want to put hours into studying one of the national languages of the Philippines in the hope that when I eventually visit Luzon, I’ll be able to speak with my friends in one of their languages. Thanks, teachers, for creating these language learning materials...

@madelineraine
Welcome! Tagalog / Filipino is definitely the language to learn if you're planning on visiting the Luzon area. The writing system for Tagalog will surely be easier than Thai, that's for sure!
