new Free Tagalog Grammar course
Dear Tagalog learners, I am pleased to announce Tagalog Grammar Lite, a new free Tagalog Grammar course available now at Language Tools. It can be found here: languagetools.io/book/1

(edit - it appears that the link was edited to add a space in the word "book" so the link wouldn't work. I'm not sure how the software here works, but you may need to delete the space. The admin gave me permission to post this in case there was any doubt)

However, why use yet another, different set of stress marks ?
Why don't all courses stick to the official accent punctuation marks ?

I can't speak for anyone, but natives don't use the stress marks and I believe what I've seen from Leo's course, he does include audio samples. Cebuano sources are even worse, I would consider yourself blessed to be a Tagalog learner; one of the biggest EN-CEB dictionaries uses a spelling only found in that publication.

I felt the "official" system was flawed and decided not to propagate it.

@akosikoneho I guess I should be thankful that I didn't choose Manderin by your logic ? I am not blessed to be a Tagalog learner - I live in a Tagalog region.

@stevesmi Edi ano na po. Ang laki po ng problema n'yo kahit ang liit na bagay na 'to. Hindi perpekto ang lahat ng aklat natin para matuto ng tagalog. Paumanhin po kung gan'on. Pero kaya po natin kahit gan'to ang mga aklat tungkol sa balarila ng Tagalog. Isipin niyo pa, kahit gan'on ang pagbaybay ni Leo, may tagaloglessons.com pa tayo.

@akosikoneho Yes you are correct. It took me a long time to practice the official stress marks so that I almost recognize the required stress almost instantly but not quite. I find it not easy to rethink the different symbols each time I read a different book, course or website. Only my personal thoughts and opinion. Others won't feel the same as me.

@stevesmi Yes, I apologize in my initial reaction to be critical of your valid opinion. It is easy to tint things with our own lenses through BBS. You were being rightly critical of the choice, not attacking the grammar itself but the choice of orthography.
