Question: Bakit na tinatawag "pula ng itlog" ang "yolk" sa Tagalog? Ang kulay ng pula ng itlog ay parang dilaw sa aking paningin.

Basically the color of the egg yolk depends on the diets of the chicken. Modern feed and corn turns the egg yolk like a pale yellow. The more fruit and bugs the chicken eats the darker the egg yolk is. Before the Spanish brought with them the idea of feeding corn to the chickens, Filipino chickens lived on bugs and fruit and whatever else they could scavenge. Most egg yokes bake then were dark orange or red. And they never bothered to change the name when modern feeds became commonplace.

While that is an interesting theory young-man, one can not help but point out that Tagalog (and many languages) handle terminologies differently. "Pula" is also used where English would use "brown" such as "cook until brown".
 
Prituhin ang baka sa mainit na mantika hanggang pumula. Isalin sa pinggan. Isalin ang pinagbabaran sa isang kaserola at pakuluin hanggang mangalahati.
 
Here is an example from a cookery book if you young ones know what that is.
