inuman means a drinking session.
iinuman is the gramatically correct word, but this word is not used by the Tagalog people.
if you want to say someone will drink a beer in the restaurant, better use the active voice: Iinum ng beer si John sa restaurant. its a tagalog way of saying it.
i suggest you observe how tagalogs construct sentences. you may start at this link---lesson 13: youtu.be/OBnbMqZQJOI

Question: Can you say the difference between the two sentences? (a) Inuman ni John ng beer ang restawran. (b) Ininuman ni John ng beer ang restawran.

@kasong

1) iinom ng beer si John sa restawran.

2) uminom ng beer si John sa restawran.

The locative forms inuman, ininuman,iniinuman and iinuman. Are indeed not used much but are still used as I was able to find Filipinos still using them and they are in the Bible so Its a good idea to learn and understand it. Any word is valid and could be used If context desires it .
