Question: Can you tell me the difference between the two?

OK, Thank you!! You all said both of the sentences below are possible. Now can you tell me the difference between the two? In which context do you use (b) instead of (a).

(a) Kasasara (lang) ni John ang bintana. (John has just closed the window.)
(b) Kasasara (lang) ni John ng bintana (John has just closed the window.)

@kasong

I discussed this with natives and MrGerbear the linguist on discord and this is the result:

> Kasasara (lang) ni John ang bintana. (John has just closed the window.) - NOT VALID, you can't use ANG with these KA verbs for whatever reason.

Instead you use SA for a definite article:

> Kasasara (lang) ni John SA bintana. (John just closed THE window.)

and NG for indefinite:

> Kasasara (lang) ni John ng bintana (John just closed A window.)

@AMBoy i've always thought using ang here sounded odd. Not a linguist but I depend if "it sounds right"
