Question: What is the difference between dalangin and dasal?

I know both mean prayer, but what I was wondering is if there is a difference between what prayer each word reffers to or something like that.

Dalangin = although it can be "prayer" you can interpret it as the request itself (with one of it's translations being earnest request) or focus on the desired effect/outcome of the prayer.

Dasal = is kind of like the prayer itself or actual act of praying (magdasal = to pray).

Extra note: "Panalangin" is used also for prayer. I hear my family use this a lot. Usually when asking someone (many times whomever they're speaking to) to pray for something.

Interchangeable in most cases. Dasal is a Spanish loanword. From "rezar"

AmboyBaritone dalangin is a noun and dasal is a verb

@hamilee They are both nouns. Both have related verbs (manalangin, magdasal, etc.)
