Sorry kasong, it is not.
kantahan ni Mary ang silid=Mary sings the room
Ang silid kung saan kumakanta si Mary=the room where Mary sings

Kantahan ni Maria ang silid.

@kasong

Kantahan yet again is the infinitive so it has no meaning here.

Kakantahan ni Maria ang silid.

Mary will sing TO the room . So no it doesn’t work.

@kasong the sentence can mean Maria sang for the room

A clearer sentence:

Sa silid kumakanta si Maria.

Pinagkakantahan would be a clearer word to use especially if there is no context provided.

Pinagkakantahan ni Maria ang silid

Case in point: I interpreted OPs sentence as Maria is singing to the room.

To use kantahan, as a noun, you will have to establish the context first esp in written form.

Parang, malaki ang suso vs malaki ang suso 😅😅😅. Yung isa bastos, yung isa hindi.
