I would also like to add I do think translating is still healthy at the stage you’re at with Tagalog however I would also like to say that translating is like having training wheels on a bike you’ll eventually need to let the training wheels go if you really wanna know how to ride the bike, eventually you’ll have to let go of translating however I think you should get a dedicated tutor for now until you’ve reached that level. (Just my advise).
