@carabaofetish Hello! I am not a native speaker so you better double-check my anwser! I would say mas pogi sa loob , or mas pogi sa puso. But it may be crafted Tagalog (i am very good at that lol!) Lovely pinoys understand what I tell them no matter how odd it is... good luck in your dating profile!

The concept of literal translation of "beauty(handsomeness?) in the inside" - as opposed to "good looking in the outside" does not exist in Tagalog. You can translate it word for word literally (you can use Google Translate for this), but it sounds as funny as "patayin ang ilaw" as "kill the light"

This is why you don't translate word for word or even literally

You need to properly learn Tagalog instead of just relying on translations.

@carabaofetish

A quick google search shows that Filipinos aren't that superficial. They completely understand the concept of "inner beauty", and not just "physical beauty". I discovered a word "magandang-loob" while googling, which means "generous" or "good-natured".

Don't worry, pinoys are awesome. They won't think, "Geez this guy is a loser for translating from English to Tagalog, so I'll swipe left". Since you're a foreigner on a dating site, pinoys won't expect you to talk/write like a native. Anyway how the heck can a beginner think in Tagalog without translating??? LOL that's BS.

Try this:

"Pangit sa labas pero maganda sa loob"
"Gwapo sa labas, mas gwapo sa loob"
"Pogi sa labas, pogi rin sa loob"

Pinoys will get you. They're smart ppl.

@carabaofetish I agree with primesgenato! Filipino are awesome people who will appreciate any single effort you will do in trying to reach them out. After all that the purpose of languages: to communicate! we start with baby steps and like kids we put nouns beside one another until we get to understand the grammar: adjectives, verbs, ... and filler words will add to that on the way. So don't feel bad if your tagalog is not that natural yet or if you start with google translation. Little by little you will build up your knowledge as well as your confidence. Keep up the good work!
