It's two things:
One is that it means a meeting, a gathering, a getting together of some sort, such as a reunion.
Two, it means the venue or location for such a meeting.
Finally I must add that it can be conjugated as a verb, to mean being part of that meeting, as in makikipagtagpuan ako sa kanila = I am joining that meeting. If you catch the meeting by chance, then it's NAtagpuan ko sila.

@MajheAperin Do you happen to be in Toronto? There is a restaurant named Tagpuan and I had always wondered the same thing. Maybe it is a chain, I don't know.

No, I've never been, although I had wanted to visit before Covid came along. I do not know of any other branch of that restaurant, whether in the US or the Philippines. Nice name, though.
