Question: I am trying to break-the-ice with a female from Fili; She is a special girl and I have a romantic interest in our future. At this time, we are new acquaintances and casual pen-pals (online dating site).

My intentions are honorable and I would like to convey a respectful solicitation in Tagalog that conveys my interest and honors her heritage..., "apo..." ?

I'm uncertain what the "new normal" is for formal courting in Fili - tips on matters-of-the-heart or cultural traditions that may enhance my Fili contact would be greatly appreciated.

For me...GENEROUS in SPIRIT...be sincere, take a warm interest in her family, help when its a no brainer...AND never lose your backbone for boundaries (be smart for JOINT families, be smart for JOINT budgets, act to optimize JOINTLY - if jointly EVER stops...BACKBONE)! Backbone MUUUUUUUUNA! Look it up!
