Question: When do you use the words "rin" or "namán" in response to a greeting, in the examples it seems that you use one or another based on the time of the day, helppp

No, has nothing to do with time of day. Din/Rin means like "too/also" and naman has many meanings that you won't really be able to grasp early on. Don't get hung up on this issue.
