Like PinoyTaj said, it's context dependent but you can use words like mabalitaan and daw. Example: I heard from my mother that you got a new job. "Nabalitaan (heard) ko (me) kay (from) nanay (mother) na (that) nakakuha (got/obtain) ka (you) ng (a) bagong (new) trabaho (job)."
I heard you got a new job. "May (there is) bago (new) ka (you) daw (term to denote that you heard this information from someone) na (a) trabaho (job).
Note that the translations in brackets are rough translations and some can mean different things dependent on the sentence.
