What’s the meaning and conjugation of magpapasira? It’s not showing up in the dictionary. The sentence is Huwag na huwag kang magpapasira sa pera.

Magpapasira is already a conjugated form. The root word is sira

The sentence means don't allow yourself to be ruined by money

"Magpapasira" broadly means "be ruined by." As in "Huwag ka magpapasira sa madalas mo na pagdating ng wala sa oras." [Do not let your reputation be ruined by your tardiness.]

To my foreigner ear...MAGPA-...is the most direct affix to indicate causation...

Core INTERPRETATION...

Don't you CAUSE your downfall (to be broken) by money.

I don't focus on full TRANSLATIONS for the nice feeling of PRETTY English. Context will drive ultimate meaning...

Huwag...sentences are most often offered as advice/direction...and tend to use more lofty affixes. When the affixes get extended...I FEEL influence...

Shubana Baarsch has a whole book dedicated to MAGPA- for a mere $4.70 with a bunch of great conjugation mechanics. As for deep insight, you now have the lion's share.

I go to the grocery store...never hear MAGPA-
I go to the mall...never hear MAGPA-
I go to the resto bar...never hear MAGPA-
I go to the beach...never hear MAGPA-
I play with my friends' kids...never hear MAGPA-
I go back to the beach...never hear MAGPA-

Meeeeh...maybe I'm doing it wrong. Depende depende what conversations you want to enter... Why do YOU go to the Philippines...what conversations matter...

Kita kits napo!
