Sa programang #SaTotooLang ng One PH, ipinaliwanag ng legal counsel ni 3rd District Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. na si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio na may pagdududa ang kanilang kampo sa proteksyong maibibigay ng Philippine National Police (PNP) kaya hindi pa humaharap ang kongresista sa Kamara. "Alam n'yo po when a person na elected na public official such as Cong. Teves or anyone for that matter, please there are threats to his life. He should be given the benefit of the doubt... Alam n'yo there is a limit to a protection that one can be given... What if i-frame up siya for some murder and ilagay siya sa selda," ayon kay Topacio.
