No, I'm not anymore. That has been a policy already done by my predecessor and I don't want to reverse the policy.

Gayunpaman, bagamat hindi suportado ni Chidoro ang muling pagbuhay ng DND-UP Accord, ay hinikayat naman niya ang lahat na irespeto ang otonomiya ng Universidad ng Estado.

But that does not mean to say that I'm not mindful of the autonomy of the University of the Philippines.

And I urge everybody to be respectful of that without need of any MOA.

And I encourage all law enforcement officers to be really mindful of the balance between freedom of expression and protecting the peace.

Ang 1989 UP DND Accord ay unilateral na winakasan ng ahensya noong 2021.

Sa ilalim kasi ng nasabing kasunduan, dapat magpaalam muna sa pamunuan ng UP bago makapasok at magsagawa ng mga operasyon ang mga pulis at militar sa kahit saan mga UP campus sa bansa.

Inihayag naman ni Chidoro na kahit na maipasa ng kongreso ang isang batas na ibabalik ang UP DND Accord na pipirmahan ng Pangulo, susunod lamang siya subalit hindi pa rin susuportahan ang panukala.

Sinabi ni Chidoro na hindi lamang UP kung saan tinatangka ng mga rebelde na magrecruit ng mga sudyante.

Naging sa UP lang anya ang focus dahil ito ang pinakakilalang universidad.

Kung isa batas yan ng ating legislators at pinirban ng presidente, susunod tayo pero hindi ko susuportahan.

Sa mantala, inihayag ni Chidoro na hindi pa siya kumukonsulta kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. hingga sa paninindigan ng administrasyon sa panukalang pagpapatuloy ng usapang pangkapayapaan sa National Democratic Front of the Philippines.

Pero kung siyang tatanungin, tutol siya sa peace talk sa CPP-NPA-NDF.

Sa isaya ng DND chief, matagal na niyang ayaw na isulong ang usapang pangkapayapaan sa CPP-NPA-NDF na siya rin kasulukuyang posisyon ng National Security Cluster.

Gayit ng kalihim, hindi naman isinara ng gobyerno ang pinto para sa mga nais magbalikloob sa Estado.

Isinalay sayang ni Chidoro na handa naman ng pamahalaan na tulungan ng CPP-NPA-NDF sa pamamagitan ng Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity o OPAPRU para i-rehabilitate ang mga sumuko at susukong miyembro nito.

Bukod dito, ay nariyandinan niya ang NTF-LCAC na talagang malaki ang naitutulong upang pigilan ang operasyon ng mga natitirang front sa bansa.

At sa tingin ko, ang peace talks ay sa akin subversion ng ating proseso demokratiko. Pwede naman nating pag-usapan ang mga issue na yan sa tamang forum."
