Earn extra money by helping others learn Tagalog!
Set your own schedule and prices and be your own boss.
The commission fees on Tagalog.com are much cheaper than other teaching platforms, both for you as a teacher and for your students.
And unlike some of the other language platforms, this website is dedicated to Filipino languages, and only Filipino languages.
We love the Philippines. We don't run any other language websites. This is our passion!
We need your support! To keep this project going, we need dedicated, passionate
Tagalog teachers who really care about their students. If that is you, please consider
signing up to become a Tagalog.com teacher: Join our team! Become a Tagalog.com teacher »
Tagalog.com receives several thousand Tagalog language learners to the website every day.
We show these students a "Teachers" area where they can find Tagalog teachers (like you!) and sign up for classes online.
Payment and scheduling for the classes is handled on Tagalog.com. We handle secure credit card processing and coordinating schedules and timezones to make the process as smooth and easy as possible both for the students and the teachers.
Tagalog.com charges a 10% commission to teachers. We charge no fees to students, other than a small fee to cover credit card charges. These fees are as much as 33% lower than competing teacher platform websites.
Teachers and students conduct their lessons one-on-one on the student's preferred platform: Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime.
Once the lesson is successfully completed, the teacher will receive payment in their Teacher Wallet.
Teachers can withdraw their earnings at any time, as long as they have at least an $8 USD balance. Funds will be sent within 48 hours. Tagalog.com only charges the fees charged by 3rd-party money transfer companies to transfer your money (Tagalog.com does not make a profit on your withdrawals).

Once approved as a teacher, Tagalog.com charges a 10% fee on each successfully completed lesson.
This fee is used for the development and maintenance of this
website, for our services facilitating the lesson scheduling, and for our services
finding students for you to teach. Tagalog.com does not charge a fee when you withdraw
your earnings other than the fees the transfer service may charge to do the money transfer.
Students pre-pay for their lessons online before the lesson is booked.
When you receive a lesson request from a student, you can be confident that the student has already paid
and is serious about taking a lesson from you.
The student's payment remains with Tagalog.com temporarily
until the lesson is finished and confirmed by the student.
After you and the student have completed a lesson, the student will receive an email
asking them to confirm the lesson was completed successfully (they also receive a big reminder notice throughout the Tagalog.com website
asking them to confirm the lesson).
Once the student confirms the lesson, your payment will automatically be deposited into your Teacher wallet on Tagalog.com!
Teachers must have an account balance of at least $4 to request a withdrawal. Withdrawals are
not automatic - they must be requested by the teacher through the withdrawal page: Teacher Dashboard => Make Withdrawal.
Tagalog.com currently sends payments to teachers by either: Paypal or Xoom Bank Transfer.
Tagalog.com does not charge extra fees to withdraw your money, however
the money transfer service will have their own additional fees that will be deducted.
We have no control over these fees and Tagalog.com does not make any money off of withdrawals to teachers!
Our Fees Are Cheaper!
Typically our fees are around 1/3rd less than other platforms (like iTalki).
For example: another other major Tagalog tutoring service online charges
a 15% commission, while Tagalog.com charges only 10%, or about 1/3rd less in fees to
Your Students Also Pay Less:
Tagalog.com also charges your students less to add credits to their account.
We charge 2.9% + $0.30 USD to add credits to student accounts (this is the amount we're
charged by our credit card processor). Our competitors charge your students as
much as 4.5% per transaction, roughly 50% more in fees to your students.
