I'm looking forward sa kwentuhan natin ngayong araw.

So para sa mga mommies, daddies, even lolos, lolas, and caregivers na nanonood,

what exactly is the work or anong ginagawa ng isang speech-language pathologist?

Bilang mga speech-language pathologists or SLTs,

we evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties.

So ibig sabihin, kaya bata hanggang matanda, we serve that population,

nahihirapan silang i-express yung sarili nila,

pwedeng hindi malino yung pagkakabigkas nila ng ibang words,

or yung level of comprehension, nahihirapan intindihin yung instructions or yung pausap,

for example, yung sa pagguya, sa chewing and swallowing, we also provide services for them.

when should we start teaching our kids to talk?

Okay, so to answer that question na like kailan ba dapat magsimula,

Talking or communicating?

So when we say communicating, meron akong message,

meron akong gustong ipahiwating bilang sender,

kung narin sa kausap ko.

And in the same way, yung mga taong kakausap sa akin,

kailangan na itindihan ko rin yung sinasabi nila.

And before we reach the level ng speaking in words or sentences,

we have to go back.
