My job is to compile all the units information for the gear list that they're bringing out here.

Create load plans and contract out TTs and HE support so that they can get from the port over to the training area in order to execute.

Yeah, that was a tough one. So the importance of my role is I coordinate all the support for the units coming in.

So, i.e. instead of a mobility officer for every single unit going out and doing their own contract to get from the port to training area, training area back to port.

I'm the one person that brings in all that information and handles it for the unit.

So once they get here, they have time to stand up, get their own contracts in place at the training area where it really matters and we take care of the delivery for them essentially.

So, just take some of that additional stress off of the units because they already have a lot going on.

So, for today's example, we have about 100 TTs going out today, another 100 tomorrow and then about 50 the next day.

We have Army gear going out today. It helps get the entire 1 ADA. It helps to get them into place so that they can start executing their mission as well as 38th Brigade.

We have the Air Force that's going out today. The importance of them going out is so they get their K loader, they can start doing air operations over there at Clark.

And then we have some Marine Corps here going out today and the next three days so that they can start doing the, executing the training exercises during their convoys, whatever the live fire is, patrolling, stuff like that to help build that relationship with the Filipinos in the military.

I'm here in Balacatan 2023 acting as the Joint Movement Control Center Officer in Charge.

We're currently located in the Republic of the Philippines, specifically Subic Bay International Airport as the Joint Movement Control Center OIC.

I'm here managing the team that is offloading aircraft that are coming into the Philippines in support of Balacatan.

We also operate in areas such as the new container terminal, which is the seaport.

As the JMCCOIC, my job is to ensure that the throughput of equipment and personnel within the airport and other areas of the Philippines are done effectively.

It's a bilateral exercise that we're conducting with the Philippines.

What's special about this specific Balacatan, it's actually one of the largest ones that have been conducted.

And we expect to achieve many wonderful objectives with our Filipino counterparts.

The service members are currently working for me.

The most important thing I hope they take away from this exercise, especially working inside the JMCC,

is really experience the joint flavor of this exercise and understand what it is to work with other service components, especially for a common goal.

This is very important as we move forward into the future and depend on our service members from other communities to assist us.

We need to show our partners that this is a joint effort.

And the best way to do it is through Balacatan.

The JMCC really has a great team.

Like I mentioned earlier, with the different service components that are operating within the team, it really does feel like a family.

And we've already experienced a lot of long days managing several flights, several ships that have come through the area.

And you can really tell the bond that has been developed between each billet here.

I have different MOSs from different services and being able to cross-pollinate and really understand what each other do on a day-to-day basis has been important for us to be successful here.

I'm very proud of the team that I have out here with me in Balacatan.
