I agree with BBM.

Now I know that there are people that are against this

and I understand kung bakit sila against the enhanced cooperation

between the United States and the Philippines

and the implementation of the EDCA

which is the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement.

So what is the issue that's happening right now for everyone's benefit?

It's this.

Kasi sa ngayon merong limang military bases na

ang United States dito sa Pilipinas.

At ang gobyerno natin ngayon ay nag-approve

around the Philippines for the United States.

Ngayon bakit ako nag-agree dito sa move na ito?

the Chinese government has been aggressive

and bullying the Philippines and its Southeast Asian neighbors.

Nag-set up ng mga military bases

ang China around the Philippines and in the West Philippine Sea

and claiming it as their own.

And binubuli nila tayo at ang ating mga kababayan.

And the previous administration has been a coward.

Not standing up to China, speaking out against China,

allowing POGOs to come here to our country,

treating Filipinos like we're second-class citizens,

like alipin nila tayo,

and abusing our country and our countrymen and our hospitality.

All along pretending to be our friends.

Pero friends don't put military bases and fence a country

with these military bases.

At dahil dito sa ngayon ako na pinapalakas pa ng ating gobyerno

ang ating partnership with the United States

dahil sa aggressive action na ginagawa ng China.

Not just to the Philippines ha, but to its neighbors.

Recently, China has done military drills around Taiwan

simulating an invasion.

Pambihira naman tong China na to eh.

Binubuli lahat ng mga mas maliliit na country.

Skala nila kung sino sila eh.

So yes, I agree with BBM.

Because we cannot stand idly by allowing China to bully us.

At mas okay ako having the United States behind our backs

so that China will think twice about being as aggressive as they are.

Pero naiintindihan ko naman yung concern ng mga ibang Pilipino

na sinasabing nila that by adding these bases

parang nadadamay tayo sa away ng China at ng United States.

But I actually don't see it that way.

China is being aggressive to us.

Tayo mga Pilipino, regardless of the United States,

they're aggressive towards us.

When China decided to develop these military bases in the West Philippine Sea,

that's aggression.

And aggression has to be met with aggression.

That's the only way you deal with bullies.

Ang mga bully, hindi sila nakakaintindi ng magagandang pakiusap.

They only understand force.

At ito ang rason kung ba't sangayon ako

sa pagpapalakas ng ating relasyon with the United States.

But that's just my perspective.

And I honestly think there is really no right or wrong answer in this case.

It's just a matter of different perspectives.

And I agree with this perspective

and these actions that our government's taking right now.

Sa akin, ganito lang yun eh.

This military cooperation between the Philippines and the United States

will put China at a checkmate.

And this will hopefully stop China from being aggressive towards us

and all of their neighbors.
