Hey guys, it's Chris Thaen and on this video, I'm gonna give you a 3-month update on my hair transplant.

As most of you know, I got a hair transplant last January at Clinique de Paris in Makati.

At ngayon, I just passed the 3-month mark and I'm now going to my 4th month.

So I'll give you an update kung ano nangyari in the last 3 months

para may idea kayo kung ano ba yung progress ko dito.

First of all, the first 3 months, I was already informed, is the shedding phase.

Ibig sabihin nun, you're not gonna see much growth in your hair.

Kaya hindi ako kinabahan nung hindi ko nakita masyado yung difference between the 1st to the 3rd month.

As a matter of fact, ina-expect kung ano mag-shed buhok ko.

At sa akin, pag hindi nga nag-shed, dun ako mag-aalala.

Kasi sabi nga nila that the hair actually has stages that it goes through.

At pagka-transplant ng buhok, yung hair mismo matatanggal yan.

Pero ang maiiwan sa ilalim ng scalp mo ay yung hair follicles.

At yun ang importante dahil it will go through the growth stage.

Actually, right now, I'm starting the growth stage na.

But as you guys can see,

na manipis pa rin ng konti yung hair ko,

especially sa may gitnang area dito, sa may top area.

Dun talaga manipis.

Pero generally, I actually think it's a little bit better

than it was before I got the hair transplant.

I'll show you guys a side-by-side comparison of what my hair looked like

before the transplant and how it looks now.

Para makita nyo yung difference.

O yan, tignan mo from the top view.

O diba, from the top view, nakikita mo na medyo mas makapal na siya ng konti.

And from the back view, I think it's a little bit better.

But I could be wrong.

But I think it's a little bit better than it was before.

Ngayon, pag-usapan naman natin kung ano yung ginawa ko over the last 3 months

as maintenance for my hair.

Unang-una, I actually take finesteride.

Yung finesteride, you can buy it at any drugstore.

And they come in 1mg or 5mg tablets.

Yung nakakagulat dito is the 1mg is actually more expensive than the 5mg.

Ang pagkakaiba lang nila ay pag yung 5mg yung binili mo,

kailangan mo siyang hatiin pa para tagwa 1.25mg

ang tinatake mo per day versus yung isa, 1mg per day.

Ang difference nila sa price kung naalala ko,

yung 1mg is like P70 per tablet.

Yung 5mg is P30 plus pesos or kalahati ng presyo

for a 5mg tablet.

So it's a lot cheaper to buy the 5mg tablet

than the 1mg tablet.

For me, I actually take the finesteride every other day, not every day.

Ngayon, alam ko kung anong inisip ng mga tao dyan,

na marami kayo na naririnig ng mga rumors

na sinasabi that if you take finesteride,

you will have erectile dysfunction.

As a matter of fact, yes, that is a possibility.

But the possibility is only 1 out of every 10.

And the good thing is,

kung nagkaroon ka nga ng erectile dysfunction,

you can just stop taking the finesteride

and you'll go back to normal.

So there's really no cause for alarm if you think about it.

At yun ang rason kung bakit willing ako i-take yung finesteride

because inexplained to ng doktor sa akin ng maayos.

And the good thing is,

hindi ako yung 1 out of every 10 na nagkaroon ng problema ngayon.

I'm actually part of the 90%

na walang problema with using finesteride.

The next thing I use is the minoxidil.

Ang kinuha ko is the minoxidil foam versus the minoxidil oil

para ka lang gumagamit ng mousse sa hair mo

and you get to style your hair any way you want.

And I use it twice a day,

one in the morning and one in the evening.

I also use my low-light laser therapy helmet.

I use that.

I try to do it every other day,

pero sometimes I'll miss a day or two

so I'll use it mga twice to three times a week.

That's about it.

And those are the maintenance medications and activities that I do

to be able to help my hair grow fuller.

Ang isang tanong na na-encounter ko is

anong shampoo ginagamit ko?

So here's the thing.

I don't use shampoo.

I haven't used shampoos in a long time.

I actually don't believe in using shampoos anymore

kasi na-realize ko, no,

our hair has natural oils in them

and our scalp has a natural oil in it.

And pag nagagamit tayo ng mga shampoo,

especially mga harsh na shampoo,

tumutuyo yung ating anit at yung ating bohok.

At dahil doon, nagkakaroon tayo ng dandruff.

At alam kong may iba sa inyo siguro na iniisip na

dahil hindi ako nagsha-shampoo,

baka madumi yung bohok ko o yung scalp ko

o kaya mabaho siya.

Pero honestly, you know,

I had my friends and my girlfriend smell it.

Hindi siya mabaho.

And it smells very natural.

And ngayon parang feeling ko mas healthy yung hair ko.

At never ako nagkakaroon ng dandruff.

And every two to three weeks, you know,

I get a haircut on the side and the back

para lang mas malinis tignan siya.

Kasi usually, mas mababang tumubo talaga yung likod

at saka yung gilid ng ulo mo.

And moving forward,

I'm really excited for the next several months.

So I think by the sixth month,

medyo malaki na yung improvement

compared to where I was before.

And makikita yung full results ng hair transplant

12 months after the actual transplant.

At dahil doon, I'm so excited for the new year

and my new hair.

And I'll update you guys regularly

on how my hair transplant growth is coming along.
