Major life update

I just landed my dream adventure

So I got accepted at Sunny's and I will be working for their eyewear brand.

So my internship involves like taking photos, videos, handling their like social media accounts.

Honestly, this is the only company or brand that I applied for.

Ganun ko talaga siya kagusto.

Trust me when I say that, sobrang fan talaga ako ng branding nila.

I wanted to work there even before pa, like before I stepped into college.

Applying for this one is so daunting for me.

Because at first, parang hindi ko pa alam kung anong difference ng resume sa CV.

And I had to like research because not everything was like spoon fed to us.

So you kinda have to do your own research when it comes to application, like yung cover letter, portfolio.

Noon na kinabantrag ako kasi wala kong org buong college life ko.

So I didn't know what to put on my resume.

Not until I realized na what I'm doing here on YouTube, on Instagram, and on my social media platforms.

It's something I could put on my application form.

At first talaga parang naingit ako na wala kong org ganun.

Kaya as early as now, if you're like a college student, collect those experiences.

Actually, I started working for Sunny's weeks ago.

And may certain number of hours lang talaga yung required sa amin.

And actually, malapit ko na matapos yun.

Pero gusto ko pa rin tumuloy kasi well, I'm just having fun.

And honestly, medyo nahihiya pa akong magfilm kasi I don't wanna like spoil anything.

Make people uncomfortable na nagfilm ako dun sa office kasi medyo nakakahiya yun.

But I'm gonna like put some snippets for you guys.

Since a lot of you DMed me na you're really curious what's it like working for Sunny's.

I'm just gonna make some coffee.

So ayun nga, I was so shy to vlog.

But here are some snippets that I was able to take all throughout the months of staying at Sunny's.

Hi guys, so I have a next task.

I have to shoot these specs.

I have to go down on this video.

And I actually did a lot of things, di na ako mag-vlog.

And basically, I help during shoots.

Usually, there are a lot of campaigns happening.

And I shoot or help in making content for TikTok or on Instagram.

So I assist when there are models that come at Sunny's HQ.

So I shot this dope thingy with Bianca.

Say hi to my vlog. This is the first time.

How is it like working for Sunny's?

Amazing!

And we shoot lots of content and we do it together.

I thought I was gonna be alone.

Actually, when I saw her, I was like, oh yay, finally a friend!

And we also do store visits when we have to make content about the promos happening.

And we also organize the inventory.

Everyone has this.

Yeah.

Ito yung gusto ko.

Oh my God, yeah.

I'm sold out.

I had to wait.

Oh, and also, here's our cafeteria.

Usually, they sell yung mga lutong bahay na food here during lunch,

which is a plus for me because I live alone and ito yung mga kinikrave kong food

kasi sawang sawaan ako sa mga easy to cook food na ginagawa ko sa apartment

since lagi ako nagmamadali or like yung mga fast food deliveries.

And during merienda, they offer street food like kikkyup, kwek-kwek,

which I love and miss a lot.

And overall, it has been refreshing to work behind the cam.

Legit, ang saya ko.

And I have an exciting news for you.

I'm gonna say it after I walk towards my class.

Medyo nagmamadali lang ako ngayon.

So here at UP, since malawak yung campus,

you have to transfer from one building to another.

And medyo malayo sila sa isa't isa.

Tapos yung kainan, malayo rin siya.

Tawag doon area 2.

So usually, it would be more convenient for you

to bring baon na lang pag lunch time.

Pero ako, sinusulit ko yung mga nagbibenta ng mga taho, ice cream, gano'n.

And since I live alone, I don't have time to make my own baon.

So kumakain na lang ako whenever I have the chance.

May mga karyoka, togya, gano'n.

Like you can eat them on the go.

The exciting thing that I was referring to a while ago

was that I had my very own campaign for Lazada.

And guys, grabe.

First time ko mag-shoot na yung isang malaking set

is specifically made for me.

Because Lazada made my own Style by Ashley Lazlook part of the app.

I'm so, so grateful for the opportunity.

What I love about working at Sunny's is that

nobody cares about what you wear.

You can dress up or dress down.

And I actually just sit most of the time at my desk

and use my laptop or phone aside from shooting stuff.

And sometimes I just love looking at random things.

Like there are different planners every year.

The whole office is so cute.

It's a vibe. It's so aesthetic.

Okay, I did some errands.

Bought some drinks.

Kasi I think I'm gonna have guests over this week.

So I don't want my refrigerator to be empty.

And dumating na yung bill ko, yung water bill ko for the month.

Actually, hindi ako nakabayad last month.

For some reason, nag-glitching up.

So hindi ako nakabayad.

And yung water bill ko right now is around ₱1,300.

So that's like worth 2 points.

I also bought some packages.

Look at this dress.

It's so pretty.

It's thrifted.

And gumila ko ng mga bagong workout set.

I feel great.

I finally defended my thesis topic proposal.

I can't describe it.

It even involved losing someone in our life.

Like puro work-work, internship, school, ganyan.

Parang never-ending cycle siya ng pag-hustle.

But when things or something like this happens to you,

parang it just put things to perspective na...

Yeah, material things, success or achievements, education, they matter.

But it's not everything.

Family and the relationships that you have is everything.

Kaya I didn't pressure myself to get back to work right away

and just be there for the people who needs me.

I just wanted to put this out there because

my life is not perfect and I don't want it to seem like it is.
