S.M.N.I. Truth That Matters
As team guests, JMCFI administrative officials, faculty, staff, proud parents, family and friends, and most importantly, the JMCFI College of Law graduating class of 2023, good morning and congratulations on this momentous occasion.
Remember that law is not just a profession. It is a calling to serve justice and uphold the principles that govern our society.
And place the hood on you, a physical manifestation of their pride and your remarkable accomplishments.
As the Dean of the JMC College of Law, I hereby certify that they have satisfactorily complied with all the requirements as prescribed by the Legal Education Board and of Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc.
As the president of this institution, I accept the compliance of the ten candidates from the Juris Doctor four-year program and ten candidates from the Juris Doctor five-year program and two summer graduates of batch 2022.
I hereby confer upon you the degree with all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities appertaining thereto. And by the power vested in me by the Board of Trustees and the Legal Education Board, I now declare you graduate.
Remember that no one can ultimately determine the course of your life but you alone. No commencement speaker can give you a roadmap for the future or a foolproof instruction manual on how to live your life.
Life can be slow and sometimes painful, but it is always a unique and wonderful process of discovering who you are, who you want to be, and the kind of service you can offer the profession and the world. Everything else will follow. Congratulations to the class of 2023 and best of luck with the coming three-day September bar examinations.
Pastor and also the administrators, staff, and faculty of the JMCFI, thank you so much po for giving me quality education and also for inspiring us always to be better individuals not only in our future as future lawyers but also as a person that upholds integrity and the values of the JMC.
Pastor, thank you so much for founding JMC College of Law. For me, it's really a blessing that what he founded is a school which would cater to us. Especially for me, I work and I would like to thank him for his vision to have a school like this.
And I think what we can say is that we will do our best to serve and give pride to JMC College of Law.
To Sir Siquiboloy for giving my son a chance to become part of their school here. Well, I cannot express my feelings but just a big thank you.
Pastor, you are really an agent of change and you are sent by God and I believe that this school will help a lot to others who needed not only intellectual growth but mostly of values and spiritual upbringing.
Let us hear now the inspirational message of our founding president of the Jose Maria College Foundation Incorporated, Reverend Dr. Pastor Apollo Siquiboloy.
May resilience, hope, faith, and love guide your path, empowering you to make a lasting impact in the pursuit of justice. May your legal careers be marked by excellence, compassion, and a deep commitment to the principles that underpin the rule of law. May the Almighty Father's blessings be upon you all.
Well, it is really important because JMC Law School has set a rule and a model for all law schools such that we are really striving hard in order to produce compassionate, upright lawyers.
And even if we are in our 7th year going to 8th year, we are one of the youngest law schools in the country, at least by the grace of the Lord Almighty, we have proven that we can be one of the best in the entire country.
This is through the grace of the Father and through the grace also of our founder, Pastor Apollo Sikibuloy, who has been our guiding light, who has been our constant supporter.
So, in behalf of JMC Law School, I would like to take this opportunity. Pastor, daghan kayong salamat. Thank you very much for your continued faith in us.
Rest assured that we will continue to work harder and rest assured that so long as you are there and so long as God is there, we will continue to work hard to make JMC Law School one of the best law schools in the country.
Well, of course, I'd like to first congratulate JMC for producing lawyers and for continuing to produce new lawyers.
And I'm very confident that this new breed of lawyers, those who graduate from JMC will live up to the standards of the profession, serving the community, maintaining their ideals.
Well, siyempre, kapapasalamat tayo kay Pastor Sikibuloy for putting up this law school.
And to the new lawyers, to the new graduates, namanggit ko kanina meron tayong bagong lawyer's oath. Balik-balikan lang natin palagi yon, put it to heart.
From day one till they retire from the legal profession and they will never go wrong.
So, dakang kayong salamat, Pastor Sikibuloy, na gikuanin mo niyo ng eskulahan para katong gusto mo yung eskwila o law, na nagtrabaho at the same time, na sila yung chance na ma-fulfill nila ang ilang dream. Dakang kayong salamat.
I'm thankful, lalo na sa dean of school, sa law, at lalo na rin kay Pastor Sikibuloy dahil first time na nakita ko talaga kung paano ang pag-ano sa mga estudyante.
Yeah, pag-support ni Pastor. At as a parents, proud din kami.
Yes, Pastor Apollo Sikibuloy, thank you so much. Forever grateful I will be because you have established this school, you have given me an opportunity to realize my dream of becoming a lawyer. Thank you, love, love!
To the founding, to the brainchild of all of this, Pastor Sikibuloy, nagpapasalamat po ako personally because of that vision, paano ito sinimulan, to conceptualize and all the things,
how this concept of a new approach to having a law school, especially catering to itong five-year program for working students. So it's really, we really appreciate.
I am filled with gratitude. Hopefully I can live up to the standards that you have taught us that we have done nothing unless it is excellent. Hopefully it will guide me, my classmates throughout our journey in our future endeavors. Thank you.
To JMC, I would like to thank you. To Pastor Apollo Sikibuloy, my heartfelt gratitude to you, Pastor. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this institution. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generosity towards us. And thank you to our faculty, to the staff of JMC. We will never forget the kindness and the goodness that were shown to us.
Para sa Diyos at sa Pilipinas kong mahal, Jean Domingo, SMNi News.
