Okay, let's talk about failures.

Lahat naman po tayo naka-experience po tayo ng failures.

You failed in an exam, failed in business, failed your parents,

failed probably your spouse, failed your kids,

failed in a relationship.

Lahat po tayo naka-experience failure.

And once you and I experience failure, we will experience pain.

And the reason why we hate failure, it's not because we don't like failure,

it's because we don't like pain.

Masakit, masakit na bumagsak, masakit na mareject,

masakit na hindi mangyari ang plano mo.

Pinagpaguran mo siya, nakaka-frustrate.

And yours truly number one, failure.

I never finished a formal degree so technically,

when yung mga peers ko alam na talagang syempre may disadvantage ako.

Okay, let's talk about ergonomics.

I failed grade 6 four times.

I mastered it so baka nagtataka kayo.

For some people, no.

Hindi na kayo nagtataka pero for the first timer, yes.

I failed grade 6 four times.

I failed in business, yes.

I lost millions in an opportunity in a business.

But one thing that I've learned from failure is this.

Sulit niyo na.

Number one is you should learn from your failure.

I think first powerful lesson that I've learned.

Because if you did not learn from your failure, it's just a big mistake.

And once you commit a mistake, if you don't learn from it,

you are bound to make the same mistake again.

There was one time actually in our company,

in our organization,

there was one person who cost me P700,000.

When I say P700,000, he made a bad mistake.

And nawalan yung company namin na P700,000.

That's a lot of money.

So, nag-usap-usap kami and then somebody then suggested,

I think we should remove this person.

Tanggalin na natin because it cost us a lot of money.

And ako, thinking about it,

number one, sinadya ba niya? Hindi.

Intentional? Hindi.

Number three, pinakita niya? Hindi.

Okay, it's just probably the lack of experience or probably neglect.

So, sinabi ko, okay, this is what we're going to do.

We're going to talk to him.

And then number two, we are going to tell him how it cost us.

And then number three, we are not going to remove him.

Second lesson that I learned, powerful lesson,

failure helps you to become stronger.

And yun nga, when I was failing,

sa bike, pag nadapa ka,

natuto ka e.

Hindi na ulitin yung mga mali.

Pero habang nadadapa ka,

lumalabang ka,

tumatapang ka,

you cultivate what we call as resiliency.

Nagkakaroon ka na tinatawag na adaptability,

nagkakaroon ka na discipline,

nagkakaroon ka na determination.

Ganun din.

Noong nagumpisa ako sa totoo lang sa sales,

ang hirap talaga magbenta.

Ang hirap, hirap magbenta.

Lalo lang,

nagbebit-bit ako ng mga toilet paper na mabibigat,

nagbebenta ako ng mga fire extinguisher during that time.

Ang hirap magbuhat.

Pero you know what?

Sa mga hirap na pinagdaanan ko,

sa mga pagsubok na dinaanan ko,

tumibay ang pagkatao ko.

Kaya nga, yung mga maliliit na rejection,

yung mga ganun,

minsan may mga bashers tayo,

ay, kasama na yan.

Sometimes I eat rejection for breakfast,

bashers for lunch,

and failures for dinner.

Kaya sanayad lang yan.

Kaya ikaw,

kung medyo balat-sibuyas ka,

nagiging emotional ka,

tuwing ikaw ay nare-reject na kung maniwala ka,

kailangan tatandaan mo,

ito ay pampatibay.

May kasabihan nga,

what doesn't kill you, won't hurt you.

It will make you just stronger.

Third lesson that I've learned from failure is this,

failure forces you to be resourceful.

Diba, kung nawalan ka na ng pera,

naubos na yung pera mo,

nalugi ka na,

diba, anong gagawin mo?

Diba?

Just like when I lost everything,

diba?

Wala kang ka-pera-pera na,

ubus na.

So, ano nangyari ko?

Naging madiskate ako.

I can still remember,

noong year 2000 nga,

wala na akong ka-pera-pera,

because nagtansisyon ako ng business,

nagsara yung isang negosyo.

Ang ginawa ko po,

I had a good idea,

and I just borrowed some money

from a friend

to be part of the company.

So, naging financial partner siya,

kami naman industrial partner.

Tukat dulong story short,

from zero,

in one year,

we sold P250 million.

Yes.

Narecover niya yung investment niya

in three months or six months.

Grabe talaga, no?

Kaya nga,

I just want to encourage you,

pag ikaw may pinagdadaanan ka,

maintain a positive attitude,

despite of the setbacks.

Apply the lessons that you learned,

and try to improve,

try to change,

try to adapt.

hindi na ako mga friendship.

Use your failure as a stepping stone

to what you want to achieve in life.

I used my experience to inspire

and guide other people right now

in my journey.

I used my pain and my scars

and turned them into stars.

three powerful lessons

that I've learned from failure.

Number one,

failure, learn from it.

it helps you to become stronger.

it helps you to become more resourceful.
