00:00.4
This is how my hair used to look.
00:05.1
At ngayon, eto na ang hair ko.
00:08.9
Now, sa mga may hindi alam, I got a hair transplant last year.
00:14.6
Okay, nandito tayo ngayon. I'm about to start the transplant.
00:17.6
This is Doc Brian, who's gonna be my doctor.
00:21.0
And he also had his transplant done just a few days ago.
00:24.7
So, kayo may confidence ako gawin ito dahil sa kanya. Let's go!
00:27.8
And I'm going to share with all of you guys kung ano ba yung experience ko with a hair transplant
00:33.5
at ano ba yung mga tips na mabibigay ko sa mga tao ngayon that's experiencing hair loss.
00:38.5
I actually started experiencing hair loss siguro mga 7 or 8 years ago.
00:44.7
If I remember correctly, it was around 2015 to 2016.
00:49.4
At nalaman ko na may hair loss problem ako nung nagigising ako sa umaga
00:54.1
at nakikita ko yung pillow ko punong-puno ng hair.
00:57.0
Not only that, when I take a shower, I would see hair on the drain.
01:02.3
Then, slowly but surely, napansin ko na that my hair was thinning.
01:06.7
And this is when I started to consider getting a hair transplant.
01:10.6
Well, I was considering going completely bald, shaving my head,
01:14.4
and eventually shaving it enough so that it's completely bald.
01:18.2
Pero I figured, if I had a chance to save my hair, why not?
01:22.4
The fact is, no hair clinic can ever promise
01:27.0
to back your hair or to make hair grow back where there was no hair.
01:31.5
Kaya huwag ka maniniwala sa mga kahit na anong mga treatment na nandiyo dyan
01:35.1
kung pinapangakon lang sa'yo na you're gonna get your hair back.
01:38.9
The only thing they can do is improve the growth of the hair that's currently in your head
01:43.7
or stop your hair from falling off.
01:47.3
That's it.
01:48.0
They cannot make new hair grow back.
01:50.2
And the only way na magkakaroon ka ng bagong hair is by getting a hair transplant.
01:55.1
Now, if you know me, you know I'm very...
01:57.0
I'm very meticulous and I like doing research.
01:59.8
So before I got a hair transplant, pinag-aralan ko na lahat to.
02:02.7
I checked out all the different treatments and all the different types of hair transplants.
02:07.4
And after five years of figuring out if I want to get a hair transplant,
02:12.3
I finally did it and I got it with Clinique de Paris in Makati, in the Philippines.
02:18.3
And this is why.
02:19.2
The one thing na nag-convince sa akin to finally get a hair transplant after five years
02:23.2
is the new technique called DHI,
02:25.7
which is direct...
02:27.0
Hair Implantation.
02:28.4
The difference between that and the old way of doing it,
02:31.9
ang FUT is Follicular Unit Transplant,
02:35.4
which is taking a strip of your head from the back,
02:39.3
that's the donor area,
02:40.5
and then implanting each one on the recipient area.
02:45.3
Yung FUE naman is Follicular Unit Extraction,
02:48.5
which is taking one graft at a time and then planting it on the top of your head.
02:53.2
Now, both methods require an incision,
02:57.0
para ma-implant yung hair on the recipient area or kung saan yung thinning area.
03:02.1
With the DHI technique,
03:04.3
you use a pen to be able to implant it directly without the need for an incision.
03:09.5
So, hindi mo na kailangan i-cut open yung scalp para lagyan ng hair graft,
03:13.2
which means that your head will heal faster and it will give you a more dense result.
03:18.2
And that's the reason I chose Clinique de Paris,
03:20.4
dahil sila lang yung gumagawa ng DHI method sa buong Pilipinas.
03:24.7
At pwede mo rin i-check yung information,
03:27.0
ito online by going to the DHI website.
03:30.3
Makikita mo dito yung mga authorized clinics,
03:32.3
and if you scroll down,
03:33.6
you will see that DHI Philippines is only in Clinique de Paris.
03:37.6
And pwede mo rin i-check yung mga certified surgeons by DHI.
03:42.0
At makikita mo dito that in the Philippines,
03:43.9
there are only three doctors that are certified,
03:47.0
si Doc Rafael, si Doc Brian, and si Doc Nico.
03:50.5
So, after consulting with them,
03:52.0
I went ahead immediately,
03:53.8
and I was so excited to get to today, a year later.
03:57.3
And I'll share with you guys my one-year experience with a hair transplant,
04:00.8
and what are my expectations,
04:02.5
and what are the myths,
04:04.0
and some of the questions I had with regards to this experience.
04:07.4
So, number one,
04:08.4
some people think that a hair transplant will stop your hair loss.
04:11.4
It doesn't stop the hair loss.
04:13.2
What it does is it adds more permanent hair,
04:16.1
which is coming from the donor area,
04:17.8
and puts it on the thinning area of your head.
04:21.5
Okay, first, I want to answer the question that some of you may have.
04:24.2
How much does it cost to get a hair transplant?
04:26.1
Okay, first, I want to answer the question that some of you may have.
04:26.2
How much does it cost to get a hair transplant?
04:27.0
Basically, for me, I got over 4,700 grafts
04:30.8
placed from the back to the top of my head.
04:34.2
And the cost of a procedure like that is about P400,000.
04:38.5
Is it worth the investment?
04:40.4
Absolutely, because this will last you a very long time.
04:44.2
I would say it is the best investment I've ever made.
04:47.3
So, is my hair thicker now?
04:49.2
Yes, it is.
04:50.4
Now that my hair is completely back and it's nice and thick,
04:53.6
ano ba yung aking routine moving forward?
04:55.3
And what should you do?
04:57.0
If you're experiencing hair loss?
04:59.5
Number one, you have to be able to prevent the hair loss from happening.
05:04.1
And the only effective way that I know to do that is to use finasteride.
05:08.5
What you have to do is take one milligram of finasteride a day.
05:11.8
Now, I know what some of you are thinking,
05:14.0
na may danger yan of actually lowering the male libido
05:18.4
and you might get ED.
05:20.9
Okay, that's a myth.
05:22.2
The reality is less than 10%.
05:24.7
As a matter of fact, I think it's 1% to 2%.
05:27.0
Of the world population would ever experience ED.
05:30.3
Everyone else will be okay.
05:32.1
Now, if in case that you are part of the 1% to 2% that experience it,
05:36.3
just get off finasteride and you're back to normal.
05:39.5
So, there's no permanent side effect to it.
05:41.9
But finasteride is the only way to be able to stop or at least minimize hair loss.
05:46.9
By the way, this advice is only for men.
05:49.0
I don't advise women to take finasteride.
05:51.3
I think you should consult your doctor if you have hair loss as a woman
05:54.6
because there's a different treatment for that.
05:56.6
Use minoxidil.
05:58.1
And I use minoxidil because minoxidil is proven to help hair growth
06:02.9
and to strengthen your hair.
06:04.8
And I actually use the minoxidil foam versus the oil
06:08.5
dahil ginamit ko na yung oil before at napansin ko with the oil,
06:12.1
parang kumakati yung aking scalp.
06:14.4
And with the foam, it just feels like I'm using mousse
06:17.6
and I'm able to style pa my hair after I use it.
06:20.6
Also, if you want to add this to your routine,
06:22.4
you can also get the low light laser therapy helmet.
06:25.1
This is the helmet that I use.
06:26.4
And I do this every other day.
06:29.4
What it does is it actually creates the right frequency
06:32.9
to be able to stimulate the hair to grow.
06:35.4
And I've found this to be very effective for me.
06:38.4
Next, I would recommend na gumamit ka rin ng oil treatment.
06:42.4
For me, I like VCO.
06:43.9
I do this in the evening and I leave the VCO overnight.
06:47.4
Other people are actually saying to use castor oil.
06:49.9
And some people are saying naman argan oil.
06:52.9
For me, most oils are actually good for the hair.
06:56.4
And the scalp.
06:57.4
And it will help strengthen your scalp and your hair.
06:59.9
And I have seen people use these oil treatments
07:02.4
and they have very nice thick hair.
07:04.4
And for those that are comfortable doing this,
07:06.4
stop using shampoo.
07:07.9
I haven't used a shampoo in a while.
07:09.4
And you know what I've noticed?
07:10.9
Pag gumamit ka kasi ng shampoo,
07:12.9
matapang yung karamihan ng shampoos na ginagamit natin.
07:15.9
And it strips away the natural oils in the scalp
07:18.9
and in the hair.
07:20.4
Kaya nga after you use the shampoo,
07:21.9
di ba nagko-conditioner ka pa
07:22.9
para mabalik yung moisture ng hair mo.
07:25.4
That sounds weird to me.
07:26.9
And ang napansin ko nga after I stopped using shampoos,
07:29.9
my hair feels a lot healthier.
07:31.9
Not only will you save your hair and your scalp,
07:34.4
you'll also save a lot of money
07:35.9
from not buying shampoos and conditioners anymore.
07:38.4
Now, if you want to know more about my experience
07:40.9
with not shampooing,
07:42.4
watch this video right here.
07:43.9
And after doing all of that
07:45.4
and you're still not satisfied
07:46.9
with the results of your hair,
07:48.9
then you can consider getting a hair transplant.
07:51.4
Now, what I would recommend is consult
07:53.9
with the people
07:54.9
in Clinique de Paris.
07:56.4
Have them look at your hair
07:57.9
tapos dun mo malalaman
07:58.9
if you should get a hair transplant or not.
08:00.9
So, I hope this video has been able to help you guys decide
08:03.4
if a hair transplant is for you or not.
08:05.9
