you pushed through and you really insisted on what you want to do in life.

was choosing the company where I wanted to work.

There was a time that I was really sad with my career as well.

So, I was asking myself at that time,

what's stopping me from switching to another job?

And there was a fear.

There was a fear of life, essentially.

But then, my dad said na parang,

bakit ka natatakot sa buhay?

Kasi, essentially, lahat ng pwedeng mangyayari sa'yo,

mangyayari naman.

Kung may mangyayaring masama, kung may nangyayaring maganda,

patuloy pa rin yung buhay eh.

I would like to share yung first and last thing,

first and last time I felt in love.

Mahirap yung fact na you're ready for yourself to let go.

I guess during this time,

I was in a really toxic relationship

to the point that it turned into sexual harassment.

Pinag-usapan ako ng dalawang school.

Eh, all-girls school ako.

Pero, para kang nagaantay ng ticking bomb na mag-out siya

kasi hindi siya ready.

You know you're ready for a relationship

when may napitira ka for yourself.

And during that time,

I gave too much to the point that I ridiculed myself.

As in,

magawala.

I decided to stay single for the longest time.

10 years.

I sort of moved to Europe way back 2021.

It's definitely the biggest decision because

if I stayed in my province,

I wouldn't be as, I would say, successful

as what I am right now.

And back there, they were taking a hold of their life.

If they want this, they will do this.

So, I sort of got that perspective from them na

gusto ko to.

Gagawin ko to.

That's something that I really thank young Joanne for

because this is what I've been wanting ever since I was young eh.

And then I started asking questions like,

why not? Bakit hindi mo siya pwedeng gawin?

And then I also took another risk when I started hosting then.

And then more and more people started to believe in me.

Mas exciting lang yung buhay in that way

because you never know where you're gonna end up.

Siguro I would say it was a good decision

but also I've matured.

Ramdam ko talaga na nag-mature ako.

That's why I also tell myself na

it's okay to be in that situation

because I feel so much more empowered now

and I guess to my younger self, you will feel more empowered.

And it takes maybe a thousand conversations with yourself,
