We begin with vote counting in Los Angeles County, which has concluded a month since the primary elections.

And leading the race for California's 52nd Assembly District is Filipino-American Jessica Caloza.

The current Deputy Chief of Staff for Philham Attorney General Rob Bonta picked up 23,391 votes,

Carillo and Caloza will face off for the State Assembly seat in the November general election.

We go to Canada with the coming June 17, the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot,

These two pilot programs gave qualified caregivers the option to bring their family with them to Canada

With the programs now coming to a close, the Vancouver Committee for Domestic Workers and Caregivers writes

it's concerned that caregivers who came in as temporary foreign workers will lose their pathway to permanent residency.

Gwen Le Bico, a registered nurse from Manila, was able to bring her husband and three children with her to Canada.
