Yes, they mean the same thing and use may have a regional basis. Usually, an "h" is used to connect the "in" or "an" suffix to a root word that ends in a vowel - sabihan, samahan, batuhin - but "matutunan" and "kunan" (more common form for "kuhanan") use the "n". In my neck of the woods, "matutunan" is more popular than "matutuhan" and it is very rare to hear someone use "kuhan".

root word: tuto
ponemang katinig = an / in etc.
ponemang patinig = han / hin etc.
 
tut-o O is patinig so matutuhan is correct

I will say, though, that professional newspaper articles tend to use the two words equally. So in a practical sense (especially for the beginner/intermediate majority here), if professional papers are using both words, I would consider them both to be correct.

They're interchangeable as far as I know.
