Hi there ! I was born in Manila and my family moved to Australia when I was five years old. Although we spoke English at school, our parents still spoke to us in Tagalog. As a result, our spoken English became stronger than our aural Tagalog - so much so that speaking in Tagalog became difficult when we returned to the Philippines many years later.So now, even though I can still understand Tagalog, I would like to be able to speak with confidence, knowing how to communicate using the correct words, sentences, phrases and grammar.
