I met him when I needed someone the most, I was very direct about me being hurt and having a daughter and stuff but he still stayed, supports me and understands me, I ofc do the same to him.I want to learn Tagalog to honor his heritage but also to understand his culture better, I like to learn languages.

Hello po! My name is Justina (pronounced hoo-stee-na; joheredia8) and I am bilingual in the English and Spanish languages. I am living in San Angelo, Texas and I am a Beginner Tagalog language student. I am studying the Filipino language because I am Mexican-American and have found that, through my Pinoy friends, my Catholic faith, and all the similarities between the Mexican and Filipino cultures, my affinity and love for all things Filipino has skyrocketed. My goal is to be able to communicate not just colloquially but to participate in the Filipino Catholic mass, to understand prayers that I know in both English and Spanish, and to visit the Philippines one day. I watch a lot of Filipino movies (with English subtitles) and have been able to pick up quite a few words and contextual references over the last year. My greatest struggle with the Tagalog language is sentence structure. I can memorize vocabulary pretty easily but haven't gotten a handle on the sentence structure in order to put sentences together. I would be really grateful for any help/assistance you have with this and I'm very grateful for this website!! It's an invaluable tool.
