Kumusta is correct. Kamusta is informal and acceptable.

Hi! The correct is the first one. It is derived from the spanish word "commo esta" and as the time goes by, it turned into "kumusta" means how are you.
 
Kamusta is still acceptable because some Filipino used it, but you can't find this word in any Filipino/Tagalog dictionary. 😊

@TeacherRaven hindi rin ma’am bat sa ENGLISH TAGALOG DICTIONARY pagka nag search kayo ng “KAMUSTA” lalabas ang meaning…

I believe both are correct.
It came from Spanish formal greetiing of "Como esta?" Translated as "How are you?" In literal tagalog translation it is "Paano ikaw ay".

Kumusta is formal and kamusta is informal
