New Speaking Club

Hello TDC'ers,

We've started a new section where some of our Teachers are running a "Tagalog Speaking Club" for Beginner and Intermediate students to practice their Tagalog speaking skills on Zoom in a group setting.

This is a paid program ($4) and each event goes on for 1 1/2 hrs (you can come early or leave late). We're going to be having three of these group meetings every week for the foreseeable future, so hopefully those who are interested will find a time that works with their schedule.

What qualifies as an Intermediate Tagalog speaker?

I think Intermediate would be if you know some sentence structures, know how to conjugate the major basic verb forms (Um, Mag, Ma, In, An), know the difference between NG phrases and ANG phrases and have some idea of when to use which form. Know your pronouns, how the ligatures/linkers work.

@MagaaralTagalog Hi, are you able to construct sentences? have studied and learned how to formulate Tagalog verbs? (but yeah not really fluent

) and able to response when someone asks basic question?
