Question: habang buhay or habambuhay?

Haba is the root with core meaning long...MA-haba makes it an adjective.Adjectives get closely linked to the noun with -ng. We don't let the adjectives "dangle" away from the noun. Mahabang buhay. Long life.

Yes the same meaning, "Lifetime or forever" however there are some rules why HABAMBUHAY is correct. PANG is used preceding the words that end with a letter g, h, k, m, n, ng, w, or y.PAN is used preceding the words that end with a letter d, l, r, s, or t.PAM is used preceding the words that end with a letter b or d.
