Nevermind. It's "naka".

I'm not sure that's exactly correct, maybe one of the teachers can weigh in.

Present perfect as in "has + verb", correct? Like...

John has cooked a turkey.
or
Bob has eaten the food.
or
Mom has cooked some food.

I think a closer parallel might be:
"Nagluto na ng pagkain ang nanay"

Adding "na" after the verb to effectively create the present perfect tense.

Thanks for the input. "Makes sense but it's easier to say "Naka-ipon na ako ng sapat" (I have saved enough) instead of "Nag-ipon na ako ng sapat".

Present perfect tense would be verb (has/have) plus past participle. Thanks.

@EvanEsteban2 and @FilipinoChatAdmin :-)

I agree with naka+pandiwa then add "na".
Sometimes it's just na+pandiwa then add "na".

Using @FilipinoChatAdmin's examples:
1.) John has cooked a turkey. = Nakaluto na ng karne ng pabo si John (or Juan, hahaha!)
2.) Bob has eaten the food. = Nakain na ni Bob and pagkain.
3.) Mom has cooked some food. = Nakaluto na si Inay ng pagkain.

Some more examples:
1.) Have you tried balut? = Nakatikim ka na ba ng balut?
2.) I've seen that Vice Ganda movie. = Napanood ko na ang pelikulang iyan ni Vice Ganda.
3.) I've never been to Enchanted Kingdom (true story, hehe!) = Hindi pa ako nakarating sa Enchanted Kingdom.

Thanks. Just a small comment - we just say "pabo" instead of "karne ng pabo" just like how we refer to the meat of fish and chicken.

I see. Makes sense. :-) I've never cooked or eaten turkey before. I haven't even heard of turkey cooked here in the Philippines, so I honestly don't know. Hahaha! :-D

Turkey is delicious @TeacherRome
I have been in the Philippines for the US holiday Thanksgiving and took the family to a traditional Thanksgiving meal serving turkey...you should check it out,...look for places where foreigners hang out, on the 4th Thursday of November (Thanksgiving's date) and they might be offering a Thanksgiving meal to try.
