Hello! My name is Evelyn. I am from America and I am an Intermediate Filipino language student.
I am full Filipino and was born in the Philippines, but moved to the US when I was young. I don't even remember how I learned English, but since I don't really use Tagalog anymore I have forgotten how to speak it. I can understand Tagalog if it is said to me or if I read it, but I can never remember what to say back unless it's yes or no. I can read it aloud, so it's not that I don't know how how to say the words, I just can't say what I want when I want to.

@ElmBlossom This is very common! Some people don't realize that listening, reading, and speaking are very separate skills that do not necessarily develop in tandem. Keep pushing yourself, you'll get it back again!
