I am studying the Filipino language because my girlfriend's family speaks it and hope it brings them joy to know I am studying it. I hope to one day become fluent.

I am studying the Filipino language because, I will retire in the Philippines and would desire to speak my native language more fluently and confidently. I can understand more Kapangpangan then Tagalog, due to my parents only spoke Kapangpagan in the house when I was young. I love my dialect tongue and would like to obtain it, but Tagalog is more important to master.
