Hello! My name is LisaT. I am from Seattle and I am a Beginner Filipino language student.
I am studying the Filipino language because....my father was Filipino. I lived in the Philippines from ages 3-7 and I spoke Tagalog and attended the first grade there.
My English was poor when we returned to Seattle and I had to repeat the 1st grade. From that point on, my Dad spoke to me only in English but over the years, I rapidly lost my Tagalog. I would like to become more proficient, expand my vocabulary, and reintegrate the language into my adult life.
