Just a thought for people trying to learn English tenses.
To start with we have three simple tenses; past , present and future. I loved, I love and I shall love.
Each of these three also has a continuous form; I was loving, I am loving and I shall be loving.
Each of these six has a perfect form: I had loved, I have loved, I shall have loved, I had been loving, I have been loving and I shall have been loving.
So that makes 12 tenses.
To make matters worse all 12 of these have a passive form as well as the active form eg I shall have been being loved (future perfect continous passive).
So that is 24 different verb forms that people have to learn in English.
Plus of course we have irregular verbs; I was, I am, I shall be.
And so it goes on... When you look at that lot, maybe Tagalog isn't so complicated after all
