@Victor I was surprised to hear so many Spanish in the Philippines, even after the US tried to phase out that language at the turn of the last century 😬
And when I made my wife and others aware of this, numbers, time, weekdays and month names, and many more words and expressions, they believed it was Tagalog 🤣

Well it was 333 years that Spaniards ruled in the Philippines and spanish was co official along with the philippine languages. It is normal that some spanish words are part of Tagalog.
But it is funny that although they sound similar it is written different ly.
For example...
guapo becomes guwapo, falda is palda, miércoles is Miyerkules, oficina is opisina, reloj is relos, Como estas is Kumusta ka.
